HA Described

Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers are injectable gels made from hyaluronic acid—a naturally occurring sugar in your skin that holds moisture and provides plumpness. They're used cosmetically to add volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance contours like lips, cheeks, and other areas.

Common Areas

  • Lips (volume, definition)

  • Cheeks (lift, contour)

  • Nasolabial folds (smile lines)

  • Marionette lines (mouth corners)

  • Jawline/chin (sculpting, balance)

Treatment Overview

You'll feel a mild sensation during injection, with optional topical anesthetic for comfort; Dr. Mila tailors precise placement and volume in consultation. Expect brief redness/minimal bruising/swelling that fades fast. Enjoy instant, natural enhancement — full radiance emerges in 2 weeks post-swelling.

Pre-Treatment Care

  • Avoid blood thinners: Skip aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, vitamin E, or similar supplements 2-4 days prior (unless doctor-prescribed) to minimize bruising/swelling.

  • Limit alcohol/caffeine: Reduce intake, especially 24 hours before, as it heightens bruising risk.

  • Stay hydrated: Drink plenty of water for optimal skin health and results.

  • Pause active skincare: Stop retinoids, exfoliants, glycolic acid, or benzoyl peroxide 1-2 days before to prevent irritation.

  • No dental work: Avoid procedures 2 weeks before/after due to infection risk.

  • Skip micro-needling/peels: Wait 2 weeks prior.

  • Plan ahead: Schedule 2+ weeks before events for bruising/results to settle.

  • Eat lightly: A meal helps avoid lightheadedness from nerves.

  • Arrive makeup-free: Clean face reduces infection chance.

  • Disclose health info: Note pregnancy, breastfeeding, cold sores, or conditions.

Post-Treatment Care

  • Expect mild reactions: Swelling, redness, bruising normal (lips up to 1 week); use cold compresses (wrapped) briefly, arnica as needed

  • No touching: Avoid rubbing/pressure 24 hours to prevent filler migration.

  • Skip exercise/heat: No intense workouts, saunas, or sweating 24-48 hours.

  • Stay upright: Head elevated 4 hours post-treatment for settling.

  • No makeup/skincare: 24 hours on treated areas to avoid irritation/infection.

  • Avoid alcohol/blood thinners: 24-48 hours to limit bruising.

  • Hydrate & gentle care: Water aids integration; use non-exfoliating products.

  • Postpone dental/massages: 2 weeks minimum.

  • Be patient: Full results in 1-2 weeks.

  • Delay treatments: Micro-needling 2 weeks; peels 2-4 weeks.

  • Urgent signs: Severe pain, blotchy skin, discoloration, breathing issues—seek care immediately & notify us.
